Christmas is coming!!!!

I have only realised that christmas is only 23 days away!!! As i watched the late late toy show(that is da absolute bomb by the way!) it dawned on me that it was so soon! IM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!

I always get a warm fuzzy feeling on xmas! maybes its all the presents or all the food.....or all the booze haha! Exactly 2 days from now we're going to put up the xmas tree, untangle the tree lights, smash a few ornaments by accident you know, the usual! And then the gap from then to xmas includes trying to guess what someones got you, forgetting to get someone a present and having to get it at the last minute, and mainly having no moneys! oh and stocking up on drink for xmas day wahey!!

Xmas eve is really good aswell because everyones just waiting, theres such anticipation in the air! and listening to all the cheesiest xmas songs that you cant help but sing and dance to!(So here it is, Merry Christmas everybody's having fun!) I love watching all the xmas movies like the muppets xmas carol, its savage! I love christmas crackers, the prizes are so funny, like a miniature pack of cards or a miniature picture frame, the hats are brilliant and silly jokes make half of the xmas dinner conversation! Icouldnt have xmas away from home it would never be the same!! Its nice to have it with the familia!!! Christmas is savage!!!

"Ray Dartly lauches positive age week"
Popular radio Dj Ray Dartly launched positive age week with a tea party in the Merrion hotel yesterday(18/11/08). Among the guests who attended were pensioners Maeve Reilly,John Murphy and Mary O' Keefe.

The main aim of this week is to dispel the many negative perceptions that surround ageing and to transform attitudes. It is also an oppurtunity for much needed funds for the charity. It will run from the 8th to the 15th of December, and will encourage people to organise parties to celebrate the elderly. A nominated fundraiser at each party will accept donations from those attending.

Lorraine Dorgan(deputy chief executive of A.A.I) said "We need to celebrate the fact that we are living longer;that ageing is not a burden but an opportunity. I would like to encourage as many people as possible around the country to take part in Positive Age Week."

To register as a fundraiser or for more details about the charity please contact Lorraine Dorgan on- 01 234567

search engine marketing

When you think of search engines on the net you usually think of google,as its the most popular. But there are many other search engines such as:
yahoo(global)
microsoft live(global)
ask.com(global)
onkosh(arabic)
yandex(russia) are forms of internet marketing that allows internet users to access websites fast and easily by increasing their visibilityin search engine result pages. If you didnt have a search engine it wouldnt be near possible to find your favourite sites like bebo for aaaaaaaages! since 2006 search engine popularity has risen 62%. They are very popular with businesses as 82% of them use the internet as their means of communication and advertising. The search engine itself prioritises the websites in order of importance and content. Websites may also pay to appear on the top left hand side of the search results, but must pay for every hit the site gets and pay to hold its position at the top as someone could easily take their place if the price is right!! There are legal and illegal ways of appearing top of the pops on the search results but BMW found out the hard way. Ithink the beauty of search engines is that no matter how vague of how precise the search topic is,chances are your going to find it no problem! Google has also started an ingenius idea of image news and maps search which narrows down the search again. INGENIUS!!! in my opinion its a brilliant idea and helps alot with college stuff!

Sex industry on the net.

An interesting subject...Well the internet was originally made for porn which is really funny. I still think that the sex industry dominates the internet. Did you ever type something into the search engine and even though it has nothing to do with the subject, porn pops up(literally!!yeuk!). I still think the internet is the dominent way of buying selling and viewing cheap porn. (CHEAP!!!) I think it is also a way for people to view porn from the safety of their own home which really appeals to some sad people! There are loads of sex toys and videos available that can be sent right to your door without anyone you know suspecting a thing! There are also lots of chatrooms available for people who share 'similar interests'(bondage snm,you know, the usual..) the internet is really there for people of every walk of life if your into fishing or into reverse cowboys style(i still dont know what that means!) the internet is for you!

Virtual Communities!

What can i say about virtual communities but that theyre communities...that are virtual! only over the last few years has this industry really expanded and caught the attention of the younger generation. I must say that if you had asked me did I like sitting at a computer for hours 2 years ago I wouldve said "no way its no fun I hate computers, it hurts my eyes",but now i find myself unable to log off of bebo, swimming through peoples pages, looking at their photos and writing useless comments such as "omg ur on bebo!(love)". I feel this free means of communication(for us,not our parents) makes us feel even more connected to what everybody is doing and the power to see what the other half are doing!. I feel these virtual communities such as (sit on my) facebook,my space make people feel its a cheap fun way to talk shit to their friends and complwete and utter strangers which i think is a stupid idea. I think the big flaw of these sites are that you can write anything you want on your profile like "im 5ft5 blonde hair, blah blah blah and it would be pure bullshit and some people will be gullible enough to respond. On these sites there is no guarantee that your info is safe either. To be honest I think these virtual communities are pointless but very addictive!!!!

oxegen!!!!2008

May i just say that oxegen was the best weekend of my life!! a whole weekend of drinking and smoking oh yeah! trying to get our stuff to the red campsite was no easy feat as we had to carry our crates as well as our stuff! The whole weekend was surreal, the people in the tents beside us turned out to be the coolest people ever,we were always welcome to come in and have a few cans! Well enough about the drink, the bands playing were savage! rage against the machine pendulum and the prodigy rocked the place! It was savage! The atmosphere of thousands of people just living for the moment was overwhelming! The funniest pat was when someones tent was set on fire and flew into the air like a tornaado and everyone did their mexican wave cheer! Pure Madness! Cant wait for oxegen 2009!!!!!!!! YIPEE CAYEE MUTHAFUCKA!

true story

thursday night 2 weeks ago..... It was really typical that it would happen on this night, seeing as it was my good friend geraldines 18th birthday. All was going well, everyone was on their way to being drunk, everyone looking forward to the club. As you do we had the music pumping and the drink flowing. At the time we were all in the kitchen, and coincidentally no-one in the front room......where the 2 windows were left open.....I walked into the front room to get my vodka only to find sum scumbag piece of shit(excuse my language) standing in the front room holding the birthday girls handbag and sum of the other girls things.
Before i could say anything,he jumped back out the window and into the estate. He was nowhere to be seen when we ran around the estate looking for the little bastard!!!!!!!!! We rang the guards(who came 45 minutes later!!!grrr!) and they got statements off us(haha they were really funny!!),even though one of the lads were in no state to give one haha! We had to stay in as the birthday girls id was in her bag,we still drank well though!
It was really exciting the next day though when the crime investigator came to dust the window for prints,i thought we were in csi!!!when he was there he answered his fone and said 'yeah im just at the crime scene now'. It was really surreal!People walking past kept looking into the window to see what was going on!everybody was talking about it! It was madness!!!
So I remind you to be safe and keep everything locked! (and keep windows closed!!)
